Bobby Asher

Bobby AsherBobby Asher is Associate Director of Artistic Initiatives at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland, where he works to realize the Center’s mission to “transform lives through sustained engagement with the arts.” Prior to joining the Center, he served as Managing & Artistic Director of the Dr. Bobbie Bailey & Family Performance Center at Kennesaw State University, implementing operations and curating presented artist performances and residencies. He earned a music degree and began his arts administration career as manager of The Jazz Lab at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma, and has also worked at Spivey Hall at Clayton State University and the Columbia Theatre at Southeastern Louisiana University.
